Dbang,Wizkid And Seunkuti For MOBO AWARD





Music of Black Origin, MOBO, have announced the nominees for this year's awards, and D'Banj, Seun Kuti, and Wizkid were nominated for Best Africa Act alongside Liquideep (South Africa), Cheikh Lo, Fatoumata Diawara, Owiny Sigoma Band, Smod, Spoek Mathambo and Viewux Farka Toure.

Jessie J, Adele and Tinnie Temper are leading the nominees list; Jason Derulo will co-host and BoysIIMen will perform

The awards ceremony will take place Oct. 5 in Glasgow, Scotland. Winners will be picked based on fan votE

THE NOTTINGHAM CARNIVAR

Nigerian Breweries is amplifying the fun at this year’s edition of Naija Corner at the Notting Hill Carnival, the organisers have said.
The producers told us, early today, that NB PLC, makers of STAR Lager Beer and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, is throwing its heavyweight behind this year’s event. The Official Nigerian Corner at Notting Hill Carnival, popularly called Naija Corner, is situated at Adela Street, off Kensal Street (Harrow road end).
Carnival goers are to converge this year on Monday, August 29. This year’s carnival will start at 9am and end at 7pm on Bank Holiday Monday August 29, according to authorities. The Naija Corner is put together by Sodium Brand Solutions, with support from Reve Entertainment, BlackHouse Media, Digiprints, Hip TV, Nigerian Entertainment Today, Primetime Africa, DJA Music and Kennis Group.
Performers this year include hip-hop veteran eLDee da Don, iconic disc jockey DJ Jimmy JATT, super compeer Tee A, JJC a.k.a Skillz and a few surprise acts.
The event is made possible by Nigerian Breweries, MTN, Kwara State Government and Western Union.
